Welcome!

I am an applied microeconomist with an expertise in competition economics.
After getting my Ph.D. in economics from the NYU Stern School of Business, I joined an economic consulting company, Bates White. I was, initially, an individual contributor and, eventually, a de facto manager in several merger, cartel, and product liability cases in industries ranging from medical devices to paper mills.
In 2016, I joined the Economic and Risk Analysis group at the PCAOB to learn more about regulatory work. At the PCAOB, I conducted impact evaluations of a number of financial audit standards. In 2019, I joined DERA at the SEC to hone in my industry expertise and expand the scope of my regulatory work.
I am originally from Turkey, where I studied economics at Boğaziçi University, and I've been living in the United States since 2004.
